Bennett’s Birth Story- Boulder, Colorado Birth Photography

What an amazing way to finish the year. I can’t tell you enough how much I have loved getting to know this family and documenting the birth of their first son. I know I am not a high volume birth photographer but when I have an opportunity to get to know families on this level and know that I can give them 100%  we get to create some amazing things. Birth is such a personal and intimate event, when your clients become your friends it is one of the biggest compliments you can receive.

This was the first time I was able to work with Sarah Mills from Birth Mojo Boulder. She is amazing, and if you ever question the need a doula for your cesarean birth I encourage you to watch the video. She has such a calm, warm and supporting nature about her and she offers Bradley Childbirth classes in Boulder.

This was the first birth where I got to witness seeding the baby’s gut flora using a swab and I hope that can become standard of care at our local hospitals.

Do yourself a favor and check out this magical birth film. At about 8:40 I start to get all teary. (Make sure you click the HD button in the corner.)

Beautiful birth story! It’s so wonderful that you captured the c-section, since mamas aren’t always awake for that.
